Focus: Klaviyo Automations & Meta Advertising

The Challenge

KoKo Beauty Essentials, my handcrafted skincare brand focused on natural beauty products, faced a challenge in 2022 with building a reliable sales funnel across both paid and owned media channels. Despite running Meta ads, the company wasn’t seeing strong conversions or generating enough leads for remarketing through Klaviyo. There was also a need to boost return on ad spend (ROAS) while ensuring timely, personalized communication for both new and returning customers, especially around promotions, discounts, and abandoned carts.

The Starting Point:

KoKo Beauty Essentials started with the following stats in 2022:

Total Sales: $9,295.79

  • Ad Spend: $900

  • Conversion Rate: 0.52%

  • Total Orders: 119

  • Email Marketing Attributed Revenue: $584.35

    • Campaigns: $65.80

    • Flows: $519.00

The Solution

I developed a comprehensive strategy to revitalize our Meta Ads campaigns and optimize our Klaviyo email flows:

  1. Meta Ads Strategy:

    • Rebuilt conversion-focused campaigns segmented by customer interest.

    • Implemented ongoing A/B testing of ad copy and creative to improve performance.

    • Utilized product imagery and newly created lifestyle media to attract new customers.

    • Focused on driving conversions and generating leads for remarketing.

  1. Email Marketing & Klaviyo Automation:

    • Overhauled the Klaviyo account with an updated welcome series, abandoned cart flow, browse abandonment, product delivery reminders, product reviews, and loyalty point nudges.

    • Injected a fun, engaging tone into the email content.

    • Integrated SMS marketing to remind customers and maintain open communication.

To continue the momentum, additional measures for content revitalization was implemented for both the Meta Advertising campaign and for the Klaviyo emails (campaigns and flows).

With a focus on the top selling products and content that saw more engagement, KoKo Beauty Essentials had a successful year in 2023!
